Intercare Community Support Covid 19/Omicron Statement/Policy
- The aim of this policy is to provide a planned response to a pandemic with clearly described roles and responsibilities such that in the event of a serious flu outbreak/Covid-19, for instance, Intercare can coordinate and manage a safe and effective response to the demands such an incident will have on service users and staff while protecting and maintaining core services.
- Intercare Community Support will keep up to date with the latest public health and government information about the risk of a pandemic in the UK. Intercare administration staff will take on the role of an infection control team and will be responsible for circulating essential information to staff and, where necessary, to service users and their families. Full protective clothing (PPE) is worn by Intercare support workers, keeping all service users protected.

DBS checked and thoroughly trained, all of our carers have full UK driving licences and understand the responsibilities and requirements in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
We understand that outsourcing care can be worrying for both the service user and their family and loved ones. Our friendly team of professional carers will ensure your loved one is supported with the best possible care for them, straight from introduction.
Many adults understandably feel most comfortable in their own home environment – in-home care enables services users to keep their independence whilst supporting family and friends that need to continue with employment and personal commitments.
In-home care is best suited to those who do not require 24/7 support and wish to continue living in their own home for as long as they’re able.
